Using these apps you can create 3d animation, 2d animation, stop motion animation and frame by frame animation.

This app is based on frame-by-frame animation and you can create awesome 2D animations using this app.
Pros:
- Great variety of drawing tools available: brushes, lasso, fill, eraser, and shapes.
- Can add text with wide selection of fonts.
- Choose a canvas size up to 1920 x 1920.
- Supports pressure sensitive stylus.
- Can record and import audio for animations.
- Can insert images to help with the drawing of the frames.
- Option available to add up to 3 layers to the animation.
Cons:
- Hard to animate on small devices such as small resolution smartphone.
- Can only add 3 layers to the animation without purchases (but can go to 10 layers after purchase).
- Lagging problems if 6 or more layers are added to the animation (depends on the processor of the device).
- Lot of professional detailed animation tools missing.
- Good for basic to medium type animations but not professional.
- Sometimes glitches and crashes present when reopening the projects.

This app is not based on frame-by-frame animation but instead as a inbuilt set of backgrounds, characters and items to create your animations with. This is a 2D animation making app.
Pros:
- No Need to create or draw character, but chose from the library.
- Can create birthday party films, or create explainer videos of complex concepts.
- Over 30 different characters and backgrounds to choose from..
- Good for people not good at drawing or want an easy way to animate.
- Intuitive and Engaging Interface
- Easy navigation and simple to use.
- Special effects available to be added in the animations.
Cons:
- Limited characters, backgrounds, scenes, items, resources.
- Cannot add same character several times in a single scene.
- Some Users have faced glitches and crashes while using the animation player
- No professional detailing or personalization to the animation, available.
- Some features not working properly and crash while making and playing the animations.
- Expensive in-app purchases.
- Basic animation features available, but detailed animation features are not present.

3) ToonHive - Cartoon Animator
This app is a 2D animation app based on frame-by-frame animation. It gives a platform to draw your animation frames and converts them into 2D animations.
Pros:
- Easy and simple to use.
- Add voice, music and effects easily.
- Layers can be added to the animation.
- Onion skinning is available.
- Cartoon voice changer feature is intuitive and creative.
- Frame manager is available to copy and edit frames.
- Create long animations easily with large number of frames (depends on your device's performance).
Cons:
- Watermark present on exported animations unless you purchase the premium version.
- No Colour Filling bucket available
- Can't create detailed animations due to lack of features.
- Long animations make the app crash several times.
- No inbuilt animations to start with
- Costly in-app purchases.
- Little complex to understand the interface of the app at first.

4) Tweencraft
Tweencraft is based on pre-set characters, sets, and props, which can be used to create 2D animation sin different settings.
Pros:
- No need to learn drawing or animation.
- Can import external images and GIFs.
- Record your dialogues and change voice.
- Character expressions can be modified easily without having to do rigging.
- Decent level animation features available such as animation of body parts of the characters.
- Array of characters, backgrounds, items and resources.
- Comic bubbles animation can be used in the animations.
- Zooming in and out and can control the speed of the animation as well.
- Animations can be saved and edited later.
- Great for creating funny and creative short videos.

Cons:
- Can only create small cartoon movies and not long ones.
- Exporting animation takes a long time if the video is longer than a minute.
- Watermark on exported animations.
- Limited characters and templates available to be used in the animations.
- Some users reported that the app crashes when it is was first installed.
- Cannot use offline without adding an account.
- Very minimal opportunity to to personal customizations.

This app is based on Stop-Motion Animation, in which objects are physically manipulated in between the animation frames and are combined to show motion or movement. The app lets you click photos and then combines them to create animations.
Pros:
- Can take a lot of images to create detailed animation.
- Easy to use interface.
- Variety of exporting options available: mp4 or gif.
- Available on both iOS and Android.
- Camera onion skin mode is also available.
- Multiple images selection option is also available.
- Direct imports from gallery available.
- No watermark after exporting the animations.
- Very few minimal ads.

Cons:
- No option to add a music overlay or audio layer.
- At the end of video processing there will be only one 640x480 format, which is very inconvenient
- The frame rate per second option is not available.
- Some lagging problems faced by users who took large number of images.
- Bugs reported by a lot of users when using the app.
- Limited features compared to its revival Stop Motion Studio.
- Processing of photos takes a longer time once images start to increase.

- Built to support styluses.
- Has received several awards and accreditation.
Cons:
- Lots of in-app purchases.
- In-app purchases for most basic features such as colour.
- Slower processing of the animations.
- Crashes if too many frames inserted in the animation or lot of detailing done.
- Lags during the addition and removal of frames from the animation.
- Very limited features and tools.
- Not good for detailed and quality looking animation, but good for very basic animatioons.
